Nicholas Steere

Nicholas's artistic journey in fine art began at Michaelhouse school in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. His work involves fine detail, evidenced in his self portrait, and broad landscapes. At the University of the Witwatersrand, Nicholas studied piano performance under Marian Friedman, as well as digital arts, philosophy and linguistics. His sensitive rendition of Rachmaninof's Prelude in G# minor won him first place in a prestigious competition. After graduating, he chose to pursue fine art and was offered full time post graduate study at University of Arts London and Edinburgh University. Nicholas has continued his depictions of fine detail in nature and of landscapes.
